Even if someone told you what the axle can take, You'd just load it however you want and not listen anyway.
That setup sounds quite sketchy to put your wife behind the wheel. Maybe stay under 20 mph. Trailers over 3000 lbs require brakes here behind pickup trucks/cars. You want to pull like 20k without brakes.
