Subject: 23 degree rasp bars vs. 8 straight separator bars

SE MN

How would loss and power consumption compare in corn and beans with a rotor full of 23 degree rasp bars and no straight separator bars, vs a rotor with the traditional 8 straight separator bars, on a CIH combine. I run a 7088 with 8 straight bars/vanes retarded in corn, and no straight bars/vanes mid for beans. I'm not a huge fan of changing bars when switching between the two crops. Maybe the 23 degree bars are the answer?
