If it is a slant 6 it is probably a Chrysler/Dodge slant 6. They made at least 2 sizes that I am aware of, though the 226/227 was the more common that I remember. I'm sure that it was made by Chrysler as an electronic at some point, because they made that engine till they made the chopped off 318 (chopped 2 cylinders to make a v6). I think that was the period of time when the Dakota came out, so not sooooooo long ago.
