Wondering what you use to top dress your corn with, dry urea. How fancy is your spreader. Any particular good models out there, not talking high clear sp spreaders. Edited by 1770 7/14/2017 05:33

Farmington, Mo | I'd look at BBI. They have a high clearance single axle spreader for in crop apps. I don't have one, but I do own a BBI Liberty and it is a fine spreader! I will own a bigger one someday. Good luck http://www.bbispreaders.com/foundations/store/shopdetail.asp?params... Edited by Patriot81 7/14/2017 05:55

West TN | Before I switched to liquid, I used my Newton Crouch variable rate high clearance spreader. Hold about 5 Ton of urea. 60 foot spread

Eastern Iowa | I have a mobility 600. Works great, 60' spread. I have had my best corn since I started top dressing with this unit. I hate yellow corn. We get urea from terminal and save a lot of $. Dalton Mobility is about the lowest priced high crop spreader out there.

We use a kvernaland 3point hitch smart spreader, can cover a lot of ground in a short time

North Central MN | If we were going to spread our own again I would buy one of these in a heartbeat. Nothing beats the accuracy. (download.jpg) Attachments ---------------- download.jpg (45KB - 64 downloads)

Southeast Colorado | Tires look pretty wide to be side dressing. LOL

West TN | One year I topdressed with dry urea and got a big thunderstorm shortly afterwards. It floated a lot of urea prills down to the bottom of the terrace. It really showed up bad later in the year. At least with UAN it soaks into the ground

Churdan, IA | These hold 8 ton of urea and drop it under the canopy 80' wide (32 rows). Best side dress method. Never worry about wind. Churdan, IA | We are farmers, fertilizer dealer and metal fab shop. Actually the pictured unit would only run around $40k. Have one on auctiontime in a couple a month or so. If you want to see some of our custom machinery visit our website at www.lynxag.com Edited by lance81 7/18/2017 19:11
