East central Indiana | Its a smaller version of a 4400. Ive seen 1. It was kinda cute looking being so small.

Kingston,Mi | Well I'm glad you ask, it is sized about like a 55, 3 walkers instead of 4 like the 4400. Built in the same time frame as the rest of the 00's. Built as a flat side and with rotary screen. Has mechanical brakes unlike the rest of the 00's, the engine is the same 4 cylinder, diesel or gas, as in a 2020 John Deere. Same dislikes and likes for John Deere operators but only 3/4 the capacity of the next larger machine. I have 1 with a 3 row 343 corn head and a 12 ft. ridged QuikTach head.

Eastern North Carolina | 3300 up close... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs_9-AKvF80 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK-3HTNha7U 202 gasoline engine, 219 diesel engine.

The 3300 used the same basic harvesting components as the 4400 with being one straw walker narrower (three walkers wide). Same length machine. Engines were 219 cu. in. either gas or diesel at 70 engine hp. Final drives and transmisson were of late model 45 type. Same cab as 4400. Never produced with variable speed feederhouse option. Last year of production was 1976.

thumb of michigan | A 55 squareback would outperform them in most conditions too. Blazingly hot in the cab in the summer too!

south east il | many year ago, our 4400 went in for repairs. the dealer loan us a 3300 while 4400 was in the shop. we went one round cutting beans, pluged it a few times, then took it to barnyard and parked it. waited for our 4400 to get back.

S.E. South Dakota | A old drinking buddy of dads had one.Used it for years on his 320 acres. Two row cornhead and four row rowcrophead.Hauled the bean head on the back of his 856 to get it to the field.

I saw a 3300 in the John Deere shop. It was outfitted with every GPS and yield monitoring gizmo you could think of. They went completely through it mechanically and will use it for a research combine, two row head. It sat beside a sprayer, don't remember the number of it, and looked like a toy.

I always thought a 3300 was about the same as a 45 JD.

3300 is narrower than a 55.

There is a 3300 used as a plot combine near me. I see it while its being serviced at a local dealer. Has a custom made 7 foot grain platform. It looks like a beast with that little platform. Small machine.

My grandfather and his brother bought a 3300 when they were new. My dad has talked about it. Later they went to a 4400 and then a 7700 which they thought was monster.

Sunburst Montana | We hauled one from Iowa back to our farm here in MT one year. Has to be the only one or only one of a handful in MT. Most guys here didn't know JD made a 3300. They fit perfectly on a 24ft goose neck trailer if you back it on. I like to tell people they are narrower then a 55 although it isn't by much.

WCMO-SWMO Area | There were three 3300 JD combines sold new in my neighborhood....They were used on farms with 300-500 acres tillable and got the job done.. Edited by Stormwatcher 2/16/2014 18:56

Iowa | I have one that I bought from a crop consultant that used it for test plot work. Mine is a pre-rotary air screen gas machine without A/C. It gets used on a few acres every fall and so far, the only issues I have ever had were one bearing and the rubber belt that drives the cylinder speed pulley.

Jackson County, AL | Dad, Uncle, and Grandpa had one new in '73 I believe. Dad can still complain about that combine. Gas, no rotary screen, rigid head till went to a Love bar, had to add lights, no A/C, bad brakes, plugged often are just a few of the things I've heard about it. Went to a 4420 then a 9400 after it, both much better machines.

Sunburst Montana | My complaint with them is the narrow profile. I ran over an porcupine and almost tipped it over. If ours had a grain header on it instead of the corn header I would widen the tires out a little.
