Subject: Southern Kansas drive today.......

South Central Kansas
Drove from Udall this morning east toward Burden, south to Dexter and east along US 166 to Sedan, Caney and Tyro where we picked up a 79 Peterbilt truck I bought earlier. From there to Coffeyville then north on US 169 to Cherryvale on through Thayer to north of Galesburg to pick up a grain cart my nephew bought.

Then back to Thayer on US 169, south to US 400 then west to 75, then to just south of Sycamore and across a county short cut back to US 160 just east of Elk City. Took 160 all the way back through Longton, Moline, Cambridge and Burden then county road on west to US 77 then K-15 back to Udall.

Every field of corn we saw was up PERFECT, and I mean perfect. Looked like every field had a nice easy rain a couple of times in the last few days. I've never seen this much corn in this part of the state and every bit of it looked great at this stage, most of it was V3-V4. Saw quite a bit of wheat also, and it looked mostly pretty good. Still fields to be planted, probably to soybeans.

An enjoyable drive for sure after the light rain and drizzle stopped.
