Subject: Agrigold 6572, 6499


Sw. Ill		First year I planted corn it made 200 bushel it was AG 6499. Ever since I have been sort of chasing that yield with an average of about 170 planting other cheaper brands. It was always a cost thing as to why I didn't plant the 6499 again. With $3 corn it made more sense to me to save on inputs. Now that we are approaching $6 corn for December delivery I decided to order some 6499 again. The thing is I received 6572 instead, and was told they couldn't get any 6499. Suprise. I've never planted this hybrid and I'm kind of on the fence now as to whether or not to try it due to the fact that it was very expensive and unknown to my farm. So my question is how does the 6572 compare to 6499. Also, the forecast does not look good for being able to plant anytime in the next few weeks, so drydown is important.
