north west arkansas | With all the posts lately about everyone is not going to feed anymore cattle and we should all just quit I’m wondering if I’m the only one still taking on more pasture and cows at a steady pace. I guess If life has taught me anything it’s that nothing very good happens in my comfort zone and I dang sure have never got anywhere in life i wasn’t doing something or going somewhere. Hard to imagine it wasn’t all to many months ago the grain deal was terrible and everyone said it couldn’t go anywhere. I doubt it does anything great anytime soon but this deal could turn around at anytime. I’ve seen grain and cattle as cheap as could be and I’ve never seen pasture or crop land sit idle yet. Seems like every time things get a little tough everyone talks about how 1/3 of everyone Is gonna be broke and never own another good but I’ve sure never heard or seen it myself. Guess I took the cattle business like I took my wife. Good or bad I’m in! | |
