se montana | So I pulled a fairly deep water well today because it wouldn’t make water. There was power going down the hole , and meter turned but no water.
Pulled pump and turned it on above ground and pump would run and push water, but I could plug the 1” line with my hand . No pushing pressure
So new pump installed, wanted to hear it spin before we dropped it back down. it will only run a few seconds and quit. When it quits it hums, but won’t turn.
2 wire 110 pump . One hot, one neutral, one earth ground. Don’t know how that could be wrong,
Took the new pump back to my shop twice and it works great in a tub of water at the shop, but won’t work out in the pasture.
Plugged an electric drill into the outlet out in the pasture and it works great. Pump won’t work.
The kicker is, when trying new pump out at pasture, dropping it in the water tank to try it, the water is energized. It’s a shocking experience.
How could this be? | |
