Subject: How accurate are acre counter?

east central ND
Putting some corn in with a new to me JD 1770 nt, with hydraulic drive and clutches. with 2630, and a 6000 receiver.

How accurate is the acre counting?

I had a Deere 7300 3 point planter with the trusty 250 monitor for 14 years. Been running the 250 off radar, then off of a 3000 and then the 6000 receiver. Very consistent acres counted in the feilds over many years.

I’m not saying the old 250 was dead on, but the 1770 is reading 1.8% less acres. I do the math, and on 30,000 plants per acre, that’s 500 difference in the population.

Is the 1770 with gps, clutches, etc going to be more correct on acres?

If so, I need to bump my population 500 to be consistent with what I thought the other planter was putting down.
