I really appreciate your post below. Never really heard stories like this from any relatives. They all say they were broke during the 30’s but no good stories as you described. My parents, now in their 70’s, never mentioned anything about not having enough decent food but they both grew up on small farms with a lot of animals.

People my age have never went through any struggles as a whole country when it comes to economics and food. We are soft in general, people living in big cities mostly have no idea on how to survive in the wilderness or even the country.

I feel a little sad when I read about the food the kids had to eat at school. Many of the problems of today exist IMO because people have to much free time. If you are hungry and need to work, those are your only problem.

Lately I have said people have too much free time.

I am glad to grow up where and when I have.

Liver and onions was the only bad food I ever had to eat lol
