ND | Anyone have or do what I'm describing?
A large tank with an intake coming from a well or rural water and an out put with a pump and pressure tank and switch that is bypassed most of the time is used only for unusually high demand/low supply times(such as when the well or rural water cannot keep up) or when the water source is not working.
I know normal non pressurised cisterns are still a thing and are somewhat common still, but googling what I'm describing above I can't seem to find much. It's been an idea I've had for a while with our well being somewhat slow(as in water saving shower heads actually have a point when running on it) and our rural water having a record for being somewhat unreliable, 5 years after the line went in, and when rural water is down, Murphy's law applies and the well usually goes down then too. Not saying it will happen, but I'm curious if it is a thing or not. | |
