Obviously the wetter feed has a lot of water weight. So if you have a 1500 lb silage bale................is it the same quantity feed value wise as a 1500 lb dry 15% moisture bale?
If a cow needs 30 lbs of dry feed/day..............will that silage bale satisfy that requirement for 50 head?
I've never fed silage out of a pit or out of a bale................so pretty much a newbie on this deal.
