SC North Dakota | Is there a chart that shows a correlation between the cost of nitrogen vs the price of corn to show where it is the best economics on what rate to use and what yield goal to shoot for? I'm curious with all of the regulations being put into place and the current run up on fertilizer prices when does it no longer pay to shoot for sky high yield goals. I realize newer genetics have become more efficient on nitrogen use, also different application methods. Just wondering how you can put all this together. The post below on trend line yields got me thinking about this and at what point is it no longer economical to increase yield due to input costs. |
