SW WI | But thinking about energy....specifically frac sand. Here, 10 months ago frac sand mines went cold....and I mean COLD. Sold off everything, equipment, laid off EVERONE, shuttered and had municipalities wondering what we do with the site, a lot of cleanup to do. It’s ramping up again. Purchasing manager for a company I know is back buying equipment. Guys who are now on other jobs are contacted, with a sweeetened package to come back....and the plants are looking to jump in hard.
What do they know that we don’t? The question for employees thinking about going back is “ is this for 8 months or years?” Don’t know what to make of this. | |
