Subject: Backhoe vs mini payloader for feed

Cullom, Illinois
I currently use a mini payloader to load my vertical mixer. It does a good job and I’ve been happy with it. Would like to also have a backhoe for the farm. My current backhoe is just a digging stick on the skid steer. It works but just ok.
Got to looking on tractorhouse and noticed NH makes a backhoe with a parallel lift boom on the loader with quick attach accessories. The backhoe is heavier by about two ton and not quite as high up in the cab. Bucket size is basically the same. Maybe a little less handy with the boom hanging off the back.

Anyone use a backhoe to load feed? Looks to me like it should work.
