Subject: Hmsc in a ground pile?

God's Country (N.C. Ia)
Anyone have any luck putting high moisture corn (whole, not cracked)in a ground pile? Was thinking a little about this earlier today. Was thinking of just piling with an auger in a long, somewhat narrow pile, and tarping it. Biggest fear would be spoilage for lack of feeding enough to keep the face fresh. Anyone done it with great success? Tia
