iowa | I am in the iowa hurricane area where most bins are gone and damaged. Most grain elevators are gone and damaged. What little grain that was left has been scooped up and removed in hopes of rebuilding the bins and legs.
It seems that all farmers now have at least one semi and hopper and try to move out most of what they stored in the winter/early spring months. I think that is why so many empty bins where destroyed so easily.
Is there anyone who collects data on what amount of grain is stored now?
Is most of it sitting in export terminals or processors storage? | |
