NW ILLINOIS | Just a quick update on the Controller. About a month ago
I delivered the Controller to some fine gentlemen down
south of Mattoon IL.
They were in the process of redoing their grain bin setup
and was willing to install the Controller on one of their
bins.
After installation they called and said the display would scramble
and they would have to reset the system. This repeated.
I had tested with a light duty fractional HP motor starter and
it work at the shop.
So I went and found a large 30hp motor starter 220v and hooked it up.
I made the Controller cycle every 10 seconds to amplify real world
operation.
Within 5 minutes the display scrambled.
Looked at several solutions, order some parts including a
solid state relay instead of the mechanical one in the Controller.
While waiting on other parts I put the SSR in and it solved the
problem.
Went south today to install the SSR and make a slight software
change and everything worked fine.
Now the the long term test.
I might add that the Controller is on a bin that has two fans on
it and will control both fans.
