jasper county , IL | We have been doing some work on a JD 1780 24 row 20" planter getting it ready to put away till next year. The trouble we are having is when it is unfolded and control box is in plant mode, the center section will start to settle down first and then the wings will also settle down but at a slower rate. If you put the control box switch to transport the planter will not settle down. We have changed all o-rings on all of the solenoids and it made no difference. Our owners manual shows 11 solenoids on top and 2 on front of valve block, but there are only 10 on top and 2 on front on the valve block on the planter. there is a part number AA50211 on the valve block. There is 1 pair of extra wires in the wiring harness that are not hooked up at the valve block. We have been unable to find a wiring diagram to check if everything is connected right. Dealer has told use this is a late production unit as it has black cylinders and wide tires on all lift wheels and by serial number. We believe that all lift cylinders are good and not leaking by as it stays up in transport and only settles down in plant mode. If someone has any idea what the problem is or has a wiring diagram it would be much appreciated. TIA | |
