Getting ready to get on the water with our new to us pontoon. Boat is 24' with a 9.9 Mercury 4 stroke. The lake its going to be docked on has a 10 hp limit, bigger engines can only go idle speed or so, 10 hp can go full throttle. Future plans would be to take it to other lakes around the area and maybe pull some tubes for kids, maybe someone who is small enough could ski. Max hp on the plate is 90. Would a 2 stroke work doing idle or a little above for the small lake, you would not be running it a lot, but never could open it up there either. Oil injection I would think is better than mixing, but maybe trouble with that setup on older engines? Thanks for your thoughts.
