Subject: Treating Hogs with front leg issues

north central Ohio
Last group of hogs and now this group seems to have issues with becoming lame on there front to two legs. Some will crawl around on there front knees before standing up kind of reminds you of a pulled muscle bothering them. Others get a swollen front leg that I have been told is strep in the joint by our barn manager. I have tried treating with excenel, enroflox, and linco all with a shot of dexanose(steriod). Nothing really seems to make a bit of difference. It is worse when they are smaller but have issues when their market weight too. These are a different type of genetics than we have had previously(a non PIC duroc type pig crossed with PIC maternal) and they are an improvement overall just wish I understood this lameness issue better and the barn manger has no more suggestion to try. Anybody had luck treating front leg issues in pigs that we could try? Thanks Greg
