Subject: Spring in field

Location is SE Minnesota. We purchased a piece of tillable ground about 8 years ago, that had a little tile in one corner and what we assumed was the outlet was about 40' from the field edge with some scrubby, small trees growing between it and the road ditch. Last fall we did a big tile job on the farm and they said they had all the tile hooked up to the new outlet. The old outlet was still running this spring, so they tried locating it then, but it was so muddy , they said they would have to come back again in the summer. We tried again this week and they say it is definitely a spring, pumping water water like no spring they have seen before. We dug a hole, ran 4" tile from a line to the hole, coiled 2 circles and buried it but had water chasing us up to the surface the whole way. We tried it again along side the first hole with 5" tile but had the same result. It is not a tile line, the tile we installed last fall is 10-20X more tile than the old tile and it is currently barely running, 10-20% as much water as the spring. Looking for ideas on how to get this contained underground and into the tile lines or to the road ditch undergound.
