SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass! | Have a 10-month-old one not top of the line but close to it. I had a really good reviews on consumer reports and other places. It stopped cooling, technician came out today examined it explained that what is wrong as there is a valve that has a piece of foreign material in it that's preventing it from working. He said he's fixed dozens of them but has to have a written work order from LG to do it. Took the wife nearly 3 hours on the phone to get someone to say they would be faxing us a work order. Technician said whatever you do do not get LG refrigerators or appliances
He said they're really cheap ones aren't too bad but virtually everyone that the store he works for sells he has to work on.
He named a whole bunch of people that I knew that he had had to work on them for under warranty. Some of them multiple times.
I think I'm going to be getting another new refrigerator. He said he hardly ever has to do anything on the GE appliances. FWIW
