Mitchell, SD | Anyone have any devastating stories to tell? I’ve seen plenty of crop injury but nothing devastating unless a certain growth regulator was also used in wet conditions. We mudded some beans into rye cover crop. Quite a few open slots. Rain supposedly coming. I always do burn down first then spray residual pre-emerge but this situation is plant extend beans then spray two days later. Weed control is also an issue but I’m hoping that all the organic matter might help prevent chemical from getting into the open slot to an extent and help buffer my concerns. Anyone see a difference from bare ground open slot to high residue open slot? Thanks for any experiences.
I might add seed depth also quite variable.
