Subject: Salford 570 RTS lift cylinders

SE North Dakota
Bought a used 2006 Salford 570 from a guy. When I looked at it it was folded up but was sitting down on the disks. We told him before we came to pick it up to hook it up and move it and lock It up. When I got there it was still hooked to a tractor and was pinned up. We hooked it to our truck and got on the road and pulled it 130 miles back. Yesterday we hooked it to a tractor and tried to pull the lock pins out but couldn’t lift it off the pins. Finally was able to get the pins out and discovered it wouldn’t stay up. After some investigation found that both lift cylinders were blown out internally. My question is how did they get it lifted up to to get the pins put in. Is it possible if it wasn’t set down on the lock pins that trip down the road blew the cylinders or did they know about it and used a loader to lift it and lock it up? Strange.
