Subject: 20/20 question

Glenwood, Mn
Hi guys, I have a new to me planter this spring. I traded out my kinze 2600 with dry fertilizer for one with liquid. At any rate, I am moving my variable rate hydraulic drives from the old planter to the new one, which will work the same as always. I drive this through my fmx via field iq. Has worked solid for 6 years.

Here’s the difference, my old set up I used the stmm via field iq to monitor the pops. That worked ok. The new planter has a gen 2? 2020 on it. How will that behave with the pops varying? We do a pretty intensive variable rate with rates of 18-36k in a 100 foot path as we have a lot of sand pockets. I mean a lot. The old field iq system would sort of work well because you had your seed averaging for the pop that you could adjust. How will the 2020 handle this? If not well, I might sell it and stick with my stmm.

Anyone doing heavy vr with the 2020?
