Elkmont, AL | this is a 4830 sprayer with 2600 monitor and itc receiver on sf1. Started spraying yesterday and section control would not cut boom sections off. Individual switches work and cut its respective section off, but still logs it as spraying on the coverage screen, which makes it really difficult to tell if your working the switches fast enough or correctly. Master switch cuts logging and spray off correctly. Cut machine off, rebooted system, still didn’t work. Came home for lunch and spent an hour with wire brush and cleaned every ground on the machine, one in battery compartment and grounds on the back under the boom. Tried it in the parking lot and still appeared to be malfunctioning, however after I moved to the next farm it went back to working and didn’t miss a beat the rest of the day. Woke up this morning and worked fine also, until after lunch it went back to malfunctioning. As I was flushing out the last of the days rinste. I unplugged the 2600 with the machine running and plugged it back up to reboot it. After it booted up it loaded the farm I had sprayed earlier in the day, which didn’t make any sense, but the section control was working again. So I’m stumped, is this a monitor software issue?, hardware grounding issue? I’ve included a couple screenshots to show what it’s doing. In the pic I have manually switched L1, L2, and L3 off, but still shows coverage even though they are not spraying. Sorry for the long post but I figure details are important thanks!
