North Central Iowa | Seems like there's a lot of talk about what crop mix people are going to plant and what to do with the ethanol news and how that's going to effect corn acres, etc. The part I don't understand is, we set a spring insurance price... I don't see beans making a hard run at being more profitable than corn, especially if there is a shift in acres by some percentage. I'm not farming for insurance and I'm not excited about our current market prices, but I certainly don't see anything happening now that makes me think beans is the answer over corn. So, again, what am I missing? Mike |
