Northwest kansas | It appears we are going to be using a different tractor and monitor for 2020 planting. It is coming with a Trimble 1000 (FMX?). I am wanting to add some kind of row clutches, and it looks like I should be able to monitor the seed flow and control the row clutches with a Field IQ box. After looking at wiring diagrams, I believe I somewhat understand the system except how to chain the rows together and if I would need more than one Field IQ box. It appears I would need 82537 or 82536 for 24 rows, or 1, completely unsure as of now, to monitor the population from our current sensors. I can only hope I would need a lift switch adapter also, 82743 or possibly a whisker switch 77636 if my planter does not have one currently. If I would go to John Deere row command, to change over from chain to prodrive, it appears I would 81693, again 24 of them, or 1, completely unsure.
In total, it looks like I would need a cable from the 1000 to the Field IQ, the field IQ to the hitch, apperently a Field IQ master switchbox, a Seed monitoring module, seed sensor adapter, a whisker switch or a whisker switch adapter, vacuum sensor adapters, a section control module, and if going row command adapters for that system.
Would this system utilize my current wiring harness on the planter? My current planter does not currently have the row command plug on it, so if that is the case, would look at adding Trucount air clutches instead. What would I need for that system?
Pretty new to Trimble stuff. I assume there is no unlocks needed on the monitor, just the different module boxes. | |
