Subject: Two monitors?

39.48, -82.98

Looking at a new desktop computer this year and going through the usual options. Are the i9 series of CPUs really any better...or would that give me another year or two of computer life several years down the road? Etc.

Then, I come to the issue of the monitor. I'm thinking 27" 4K. I tend to keep a lot of things open at once and this might help "spread things out" a bit. My wife says, Don't even think about NOT having two monitors. She has two at work and loves that setup. She is forever jumping between screens. The way I work, I may refer back and forth some, but tend to spend most of my time in one program.

Those of you with two monitors: Is it worth the extra outlay and lost desk space? How would you describe your typical work flow? While I'm at it, does anyone have a 4K monitor...and how do you like it?

Thx.
