| So we are in process of clearing some 15 year CRP acreage. We have mulched the majority of the acreage. It did seem to go much fast that pulling the trees with a excavator. In the thicker acres we have ran a root rake on a dozer after mulching and piled up the mulch. We did so because we didnt think the stump disk would penetrate the mulch and incorporate the mulch.
Our situation now is after mulching the bigger trees we noticed we have some stumps left at ground level. And I have my doubts that the stump disk will pull or bust them up. I'm guess the disk will just hop over them
At this point ....what's the best way to go about getting the land prepared to farm.
