Malheur County Oregon | Let's see if I can make this work. Here's some pics of this falls onion harvest. The onions are first loaded out of the field with the topper loader which has two blowers on each side of the machine blowing a blast of air which lifts the tops into a sickle bar and then blows tops and trash out the back. Next step hauled to storage and into boxes holding approx 1600 lbs each then stacked 8 high into rows. The storage has an air system which blows air through each row of boxes to further dry and cure the onions They can be stored up till april in this type of system or until our areas shipping season ends
