Subject: The river, Louisiana, and basis

McLeod County, MN
We havent had the smoking good basis that other parts of the corn belt have. Our river ports keep opening and closing all the time. CHS was closed yesterday, but today it says they are open. I think most of the corn/beans is leaving by rail. Now that Louisiana is gonna have apocalyptic rains I am guessing the river will close again??? How are things along the Mississippi? We need this river to open and stay open so we can get in the basis game. I think a bunch of grain needs to make its way to China and down the river yet from what I read not so long ago.
