Subject: No-tilling peas and oats in sod?

WCWI
Picked up some ground this year that got PP last year so this would be its 2nd year sitting idle and would like to put peas and oats on it. Problem is its grown up in mostly clover, I tried the finisher last night and that worked as expected, it's just to soddy. I'm gonna cut it today and bale it Sunday.

Has anyone tried no tilling peas and oats into sod? I have a JD 750 so I'll get it in, and how much do I have to let it green up before I spray? Would like to plant right behind the baler to get it in, or do you guys think the peas and oats would out compete the clover and little bit of grass? It wouldnt bother me to have clover in it I just dont want it to get smothered out.
