Central/Northeast Missouri | I made it one of my highest goals of 2019 to improve on my recordkeeping and tracking abilities on my farming operation.
Do any of you have spreadsheets you have built to track things such as crop planted to each acre, hybrids planted to which farms, and acres at what populations, dates planted, etc. I would really like to create a data base for my operation that I can search and compile useful knowledge from instead of just have scratch papers full of notes in a binder.
I am a novice at both excel and quickbooks (this is my 3rd year farming), but I realize if I want to be as efficient and profitable as possible I need to become much more proficent at my books.
Where have you guys picked up the skills to get good on these platforms? Teaching yourself, YouTube, books, online courses?
