Subject: Ponds

Nevada, Iowa
I'm looking for some out of the box ideas. Like most everyone this year, we've got some ponds. We're luckier than many as we have finally been able to plant, such as it is. I would like to replant some corn in drowned out spots but I feel it is just too late now, the odds of it beating the frost are getting too slim for my liking. Is there some type of cover that I can seed that will hold down the weeds? It needs to withstand about a pound and a half of atrazine and not produce some type of seed that will interfere with future crops or could be easily killed before it produces any seed. I know, I am not asking for much, ha. Just bashing ideas around if anyone has some thoughts. Thanks
