Subject: Yesterday's setup for wrapping

Driftless SW Wisconsin

Between showers yesterday I got a bunch of mixed grass/alfalfa raked and baled, trailered to my place and wrapped. This hay is from a neighbor's place a couple miles away. With my neighbor gathering bales behind the baler and me being able to load the wrapper right from the trailer this system worked well. Wrapper runs automatically and can be steered remotely from the skid steer.

This new model wrapper has 4 plastic rolls so it turns slower, no tearing so far and twice as long between stopping to put new plastic rolls on. These 5x5 bales are heavy! With heavy rains coming today, I also ended this tube with an endcap bag which takes a bit of experimentation but I did it the way the dealer serviceman suggested. Will be easier next time.

I like this Notch gooseneck trailer from my days of buying all of my hay. Need to put some more air in my truck's airbags! Almost an inch of rain here overnight and this morning. Another tough year for first crop hay.
