Kingdom of Callaway - Fulton, Mo 65251 | Last year someone on here said to buy a scale for your grain drill if you want accurate seeding rates. We installed one, and oh what a difference it makes! I was by myself yesterday when I got our drill ready for sowing soybeans. I filled the drill, set it at the recommended rate, and zeroed the weight readout. Every 5 acres I could easily see at a glance how many pounds per acre I had sowed. Then I'd do the math to figure seeds per acre, adjust the drill, then zero the scale out again for the next 5 acres. I adjusted the drill accordingly until it was spot on. It is a lot more accurate than the monitor or the settings from the owners manual.
