Subject: Oats chopped for silage

SW of Enid OK
With all the rain we've had and more predicted there is not a window to bale my oats dry. I have the opportunity to get it chopped and put in a bag before the next chance of rain Sunday. I've never had this done before so I'm not sure what to expect. If they were dry baled they would probably make about 2,000 pounds/acre. So I have two questions.
1. How many tons would that be green chopped?
2. How many cows can I feed with "x" amount of tonage?
Thanks for your help.
