East central Iowa | I was busy all day and didn't forget him but was going to post in remembrance and obviously didn't.
I think most days I miss his wisdom and his no nonsense work ethic, but I still remember his humor, his generosity, and his singing Red Roses for a Blue Lady.
He lived before man flew and died after man landed on the moon. He farmed with horses and had one of the first tractors. After the war he had a baler that he had to promise to bale for the neighborhood. Living through the depression changed how he and mom lived as well as affecting how I live.
