Subject: Corn vs Beans

NE Iowa

I want to preface this by saying that my backyard has been one of the more fortunate areas as far as weather goes so far this spring, and we look to have a fairly good stretch of weather coming up until the weekend, so I am guessing that a fair number of producers will be finishing up with corn sometime this week.  With all that being said, I am sitting here looking at a new crop corn vs bean ratio in the 2.2 range and wondering if maybe guys start thinking about leaving the the corn meters in and switching a few acres over.  Of course this is assuming that inputs could be worked out and that enough fieldwork got done last fall to allow it.  I am not saying that I think that it will be a significant number or anything like that, just wondering if the idea could maybe start floating around.
