Subject: GPS into Deere 250 for Speed

Eastern Iowa
I am making some changes to my planting setup this year and have a couple questions. I have a Deere 7200 planter with a 250 monitor, and manual steer (4240 tractor). In years past I have used a radar input for speed. I have had issues with it and acquired a SF300 and looking to use that as the speed input. I ordered cables from AgExpress and in the process of setting it all up. My question is do I need to do anything on the 250 to use the GPS speed input? Do I still perform the calibration procedure as if it was a radar or do I manually change the calibration factor to something else?

TIA
