Gettysburg, PA | So I dropped and broke the screen on my low-end samsung phone. Wife takes it to Verizon and they can't retrieve my contacts. Apparently I only saved to phone and not to my Gmail account?? (I think I have that right). Anyway, my wife upgrades her phone and gives me her old one. I still have the broken screen phone and I can access it when I plug it into my laptop. So, stuff is still there but I can't see or do anything with it since the screen is broke. Samsung has some app called "Smart Transfer" that appears (based on description) to be able to transfer contacts from one phone to another. Haven't tried it yet, but wonder if other on here have. Does the source phone have to be "working"? I mean, does all the functioning come from he new phone pulling from the old phone? Will it overwrite contacts that I put back on my new phone? Does this sound like the right/only option I have at this point? |
