NESD | I am as tired of this weather as anyone. No farmin to do so I took some pictures. First picture is during the first melt about ten days ago. Second picture is from yesterday. The rest are just some of up the road. It is our main way out from the farm. It was going under last night as I was flying. With the talk below about the flood plain, I would explain that this is just one of many creeks that flow into the Jim River in SD. The Jim is one of the longest rivers with the least amount of drop. About a inch per mile. I don't know what we could do to control this but I am all ears. We had over 80 inches of snowpack this year. Our average is about 40. Most of the time flooding comes from someone elses water, sometimes from ours, and the bad times comes from all the above.
