Subject: Putting out fertlizer with a drill ?

North Carolina
I'm not sure where to put this post but I'm going to try it here . I thought about using a grain drill to put out fertilizer using 3 openers to apply 3 bands on 38 " centers . Then planting cotton on 38" over the bands of fertilizer . And planting 3 rows of beans on 7.5 then skip 2 to match the bands . Thinking about getting more fertilizer in the root zone . My main question is will a drill put out fertilizer ? I have a old GP drill I would be willing to use to do this .
