Zabcikville, TX | 16 years ago, my youngest daughter arrived on this planet. She wasn't born "perfect". At 16, she still cannot walk very well, even with a walker. She can only say a few words. She is very small for her age, and has the intelligence of about a 3 year old. She has endured 17 (I think) surgeries in her life, so far. She is extremely strong-willed, tough, and persistent. She is my daughter, whom I love. When other people meet Mary, she throws a smile and giggles, she loves people (most of the time, that's where the strong-willed part comes in). She is not a "normal" child. She will never be an athlete, she will never be valedictorian. But she will always be my daughter! No, I am NOT ashamed of her in public, nor will I ever be. She is my daughter, and I love her, no matter what! Happy Birthday Mary!!!! Your father loves you!
PS. I know she can't read this, but I am still proud of my little girl! | |
