Subject: Store bought pork

Soil
I have noticed the last couple of years that store bought pork is just about unbearable to eat. We have been buying pork shoulders and loins the last couple of years to make summer sausage. We made our sausage a week ago, had two shoulders and one loin left over, put them in the freezer whole and wrapped in freezer paper now every time we open the freezer there is a very noticeable odor of manure. We thought that was bad enough to deal with, now today sliced some summer sausage that we cooked and it has a very strong odor. We never hardly buy beef in the store was wondering if large feedlot cattle meat has a odor to it like the jam packed hogs do.
