Northwest Iowa | This mountain is about 10 miles from our house. There is a trail up there I have been told. My neighbor said he was halfway up there and he thought it was too steep. Another guy said the gov wrecked the trail but you can still get there on a quad. Was told there is a stone wall on top used in the civil war. This is the farthest West the war was fought. It is sw mostly west of casa grand and south of Maricopa. It can be seen from phonex on a clear day. Thought about trying it but just haven’t yet.
