Subject: Planted some corn today

Columbus, TX
It has been extremely wet in Texas since the end of summer. Have two fields close to the river that drain pretty good and I saw a small window today to plant a little. Did a 40 acre field today. Little early for the area but with the way weather has been, I felt the need to plant when I could. All other fields are still way too wet and even have some spots that haven’t been plowed one single time. It’s a mess down here.

LG 5701 at 23,100 population. 150 bu yield goal.
Was 39 degrees with misty rain while planting.
Weather is supposed to be in the 50s 60s and 70s all week starting tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
